Douleurs Sans Frontières - Stop Pain Campaign

This is a french Stop Pain Campaign by TBWA/MAP Paris advertising agency for the french humanitarian organization Douleurs Sans Frontières.

This images were made to outdoor advert, titled "STOP PAIN" for brand: Pain Without Borders in France. This was released in the November 2008.

As you can see, these are very detailed photoshop work, with a strong message. 

The idea here was to use the caterpillar tracks that tanks have, to show how these countries fight against repressive forces. It's a sad idea, but a reality, where they can move to whatever they want, but in the end, no way to escape.

Eternal Moments by Ana Pais

"What the Photograph reproduces to infinityhas occurred only once: the Photograph mechanically repeats,what could never be repeated existentially."
É neste conceito que a artista Ana Pais, de 24 anos, se revê para criar estes trabalhos. Colocando, de certa forma, em questão a ideia de que a fotografia é o retrato de um só momento, que nunca mais poderá ser alterado, aquilo que vemos naquele frame é toda a história. Aqui não. Aqui cria-se uma reprodução de algumas frames num só momento, pode-se até criar uma sensação diferente em poucas frames. Planos cinematográficos com um conceito interessante. Belíssimo trabalho.

Fotografia de retratos de Lee Jeffries. Não é um conceito novo, até posso sublinhar que já o vi demasiadamente explorado, no entanto quando comecei a ver as fotografias deste senhor, apercebi-me que era diferente. Para além da óbvia técnica que Lee demonstra em criar contrastes brutais, com um nível de ruído e intensidade absolutamente brilhantes. Fora isso tudo, consegue captar momentos com uma expressão magnífica. Desde o olhar, que nos conta o que a pessoa sente, mais o reflexo de um mundo diante de si, apresenta também todas as rugas e marcas faciais de um passado pesado. Todas estas fotografias têm acima de tudo algo que me faz arrepiar enquanto estou sentado a observá-las.
